Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 1199

This 41 year old patient had breast augmentation 7 years ago with 425 cc silicone implants placed in a dual plane location using peri areolar incisions by Dr. Parker. Over the past 1 ½ year, she noted her right breast to become firmer and rise up higher on her chest wall.  Dr. Parker explained the patient had developed a capsular contracture in this breast and discussed treatment options. He and the patient agreed on the following plan which was implemented several weeks later: at surgery, Dr. Parker removed her existing implant, performed an anterior capsulectomy and created a neo-subpectoral pocket. He then fortified the lower pole of the breast with Galaflex absorbable mesh and inserted a new 425 cc silicone implant. The patient was pleased again with the ease of her recovery. One year later, both breasts are soft, symmetric, look and feel very natural.
