Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 1665
Before & After
Case Details
This 40 year old existing patient of Dr. Parker’s had undergone a 350 cc silicone breast augmentation 14 years by him. The implants were inserted into a dual plane location through inframammary incisions. The patient lost 35 pounds recently using GLP's, then several months ago noticed her left implant spontaneously drifted downward. She asked Dr. Parker to have that restored to its original position. During the patient’s consultation, Dr. Parker explained the weight loss appeared to have weakened the patient’s left inframammary fold which had supported her implant in place. He would rebuild that anatomic structure using permanent sutures as well as the insertion of a Galaflex absorbable scaffold to provide additional support during the healing process. As the patient thought about the procedure, she requested the right implant be exchanged as well and both implants be increased to 400 cc silicone implants. At surgery, Dr. Parker used the patient’s well-healed inframammary scars for access to make the desired changes. He re-built the left inframammary fold as planned, then inserted the 400 cc silicone implants into both breasts. The patient was delighted with the ease of her recovery. She is very happy with the much-improved appearance of her breasts.
