Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 1674
Before & After
Case Details
This 40 year old presented to Dr. Parker with an inferior implant malposition on the left breast after having undergone breast augmentation with 450 cc silicone implants two years earlier. The implants had been inserted into a dual plane location through inframammary incisions. During the patient’s consultation, Dr. Parker explained the patient had developed a weakened left inframammary fold which had supported her implant in place. Further, he explained he would rebuild the anatomic structure of the inframammary fold using permanent sutures as well as the insertion of a Galaflex absorbable scaffold to provide additional support during the healing process. At surgery, Dr. Parker used the patient’s well-healed inframammary scar for access to reconstruct a strong inframammary fold. The patient was delighted with the ease of her recovery and very happy with the restored symmetry and appearance of her breasts.
