Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 607
Before & After
Case Details
This 55 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, developed bilateral capsular contracture after silicone breast augmentation was performed elsewhere a number of years ago. As her pain recently increased in the right breast, she asked Dr. Parker to fix things. Dr Parker explained her risk of recurrent capsular contracture was high due to her having developed it both breasts. Further, he explained that the best way to minimize this risk would be to perform bilateral capsulectomies, insert new implants into her dual plane pockets as well as acellular dermal matrix (ADM). The patient said she understood and wished to have this performed. At surgery, Dr. Parker carried out this plan, inserting a 400 cc silicone in the right breast pocket and 350 cc in the left breast pocket, in order to address her pre-existing asymmetry. The patient said her recovery was easy. She told Dr. Parker he did a great job-- her breasts look and feel very natural and soft.
