Neck Contouring Before & After Case 1579

This 60 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, requested improvement in the loose skin on her neck after a 30 pound weight loss, aging and change in medications. She says her weight is now stable. During her consultation with Dr. Parker, options were discussed and the patient opted for an isolated neck lift. At surgery, Dr. Parker used a short incision in the crease just below the chin to tighten the medial platysma muscles (called a medial platysmaplasty), then made incisions hidden in the creases behind both ears to tighten the lateral platysma muscles (called a lateral platysmaplasty), then removed the loose skin through these same well-concealed incisions behind her ears. The patient recovered quickly without pain. She is very happy how natural and rejuvenated she looks after the loose skin on her neck has been removed without any visible scarring.
