Neck Contouring Before & After Case 218

This 57 year old requested facial and neck rejuvenation. She had a facelift elsewhere 12 years ago and did not want another one now. Instead, she requested “fillers” to her nasolabial folds, marionette lines and areas on either side of her chin. Dr. Parker discussed options with the patient and they agreed on injecting her own fat into these areas on the face, instead of fillers, in an effort to provide a longer effect. In addition, the patient requested improvement in the appearance of her neck both to remove fat and obtain some skin tightening. At surgery, several weeks later, Dr. Parker injected 4 cc of fat into each of her nasolabial folds, marionette lines and the areas on either side of her chin.  then performed a neck lift: Dr. Parker made a short incision in the crease just below the chin, performed SAFE liposuction to thin the subcutaneous tissue in the neck, removed fat from beneath the medial platysma muscles, sutured them together (called a "medial platysmaplasty"), tightened the lateral platysma muscles (called a "lateral platysmaplasty") using incisions concealed behind the ears, then removed the excess neck skin using these same incisions. She recovered quickly and well from these procedures and has been very pleased with her results. She is shown here 3 years after these procedures were performed.
