Neck Contouring Before & After Case 916

This 46 year old patient was referred to Dr. Parker by another physician because she was bothered by the laxity of her neck skin. After reviewing all options with the patient, Dr. Parker performed a neck lift. Using a short incision in the crease just below the chin, the neck was de-fatted with liposuction. This same incision was used to tighten the medial platysma muscles (called a medial platysmaplasty). Through well concealed incisions behind the ears, the lateral platysma muscles were tightened (called a lateral platysmaplasty). Finally, the redundant neck skin was removed using these same incisions hidden behind the ears. Following surgery, the patient enjoyed a rapid recovery and is very happy with the more youthful appearance of her neck.
