Gynecomastia Surgery Before & After Case 1631

This 22 year old, referred by another patient, requested improvement in the appearance of the fullness that has developed in his breasts over the past few years. He has been on testosterone for the past several years. He works out regularly and his pectoralis major muscles are very well developed. At surgery, under local anesthesia, Dr. Parker removed the fatty tissue from the patient’s breasts with SAFE liposuction using a tiny armpit incision. This unmasked a significant amount of very thickened fibroglandular tissue in both breasts. Dr. Parker excised this carefully under direct vision using incisions at the lower half of the areola. When all of this unwanted breast tissue was removed, Dr. Parker carefully closed the incisions with multiple layers of absorbable sutures. The patient was very happy with the speed and relative ease of his recovery.
