Gynecomastia Surgery Before & After Case 1644

This 31 year old, referred by another patient, requested improvement in the fullness of his chest after having used anabolic steroids for ~ 2-3 years in his early 20's which enlarged his breasts. He says his weight is stable as are his breasts. The patient is 5’9” tall and weighs 200 pounds. At surgery, under local anesthesia only, Dr. Parker first performed liposuction to remove fatty tissue from the patient’s breasts. This unmasked some firm fibroglandular tissue in both breasts which Dr. Parker excised using peri-areolar incisions. At the end of the procedure, Dr. Parker closed these incisions carefully closed with multiple layers of sutures. The patient is thrilled with the ease of his recovery and the marked improvement in the appearance of his breasts as well as scars which are imperceptible. He says he feels so much more self-confident all the time, but particularly with his shirt off at the pool or beach.
