Neck Contouring Before & After Case 1171

This 64 year old patient, referred to Dr. Parker by other patients of his, was bothered by the sagging skin on her neck, which she said, continues to worsen with age. The patient had a procedure on her neck by another plastic surgeon 10 years ago which did little to correct her lax skin. During the initial consultation, Dr. Parker discussed options for treatment with the patient. She was adamant in not wanting a full facelift; only the neck treated from the jawline downward. At surgery, Dr. Parker performed an isolated neck lift, removing scar tissue from the prior surgery, tightening the underlying medial and lateral platysma muscles, removing lax skin and tightening the remaining skin with concealed incisions in the crease behind her ears. The patient was pleased with the speed and relative ease of her recovery. She is very happy with the rejuvenated appearance of her neck.
