Neck Contouring Before & After Case 1305

This 27 year old complained of a long-standing fullness in her neck which lacked contour. She said her mother has had the same issue. The patient has had prior Coolsculpting and Kybella injections x 3 with little effect. She would like her neck and jawline more contoured. After examining the patient, Dr. Parker explained to her that he had both excess pre and subplatysmal fat (fat superficial and deep to the paired platysma muscles just below the chin) with good skin elasticity. He discussed a Minimal Incision Neck Lift. He explained further that he would excise the subplatysmal fat, suture the platysma muscles together (called a "medial platysmaplasty") as well as perform liposuction to the lateral neck through tiny access incisions behind her ears, for blending. The patient agreed and several weeks later the procedure was performed under local anesthesia. The patient recovered quickly and well. She is very happy with the markedly improved contour of her neck.
